Action-Comedy Feature Film
Chained to the backroom of a dystopian supermarket on the night his wife goes into labor, a wage slave discovers the only key to his freedom belongs to the rat he was ordered to exterminate.
SYNOPSIS
Jack Adam Wage, a former martial arts instructor who lost his dojo to a lawsuit, now works the night shift as a collared, chained probationary employee at a FruGo Foods supermarket, suffering through an agonizing kidney stone while his pregnant wife Kate goes into labor across town. Over one surreal night, monitored by a sadistic AI “coach” and an unseen corporate master, Jack battles a treacherous delivery driver, shows mercy to a desperate shoplifter, and forms an alliance with Rizzo, an escaped lab rat who can hack the Glires Corporation’s supply chain network. Together they sabotage the system, diverting food to the needy and unlocking Jack’s collar—though he chooses to re-attach it to protect his new friend. When a paramilitary exterminator arrives to kill Rizzo, Jack survives a nerve agent attack and a hallucination-soaked final fight by finally surrendering his guard and passing the kidney stone, coinciding with the birth of his daughter. Reunited with his family at the hospital, Jack wins a fleeting peace, but the corporation’s literal human-powered hamster wheel keeps turning, and the mastermind in the shadows is already planning their next trial.
